ALIGNING MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS' VIDEO SECURITY & ACCESS CONTROL BRANDS
Over the past five years, Motorola Solutions has focused on building one of the most extensive physical security portfolios in the market today through our Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) business. We have continued to focus on enabling growth in this area organically and through the acquisition of a number of exceptional brands including Avigilon, Ava Security, Calipsa, IndigoVision, Openpath, Pelco and Videotec. Together, these brands have enabled us to address the diverse security needs of our customers, whether they be small enterprises or have the span of large government entities.
Additionally, the success we’ve met can be also attributed to you, our partners, as you have played a key role in extending our reach, pursuing new sales opportunities and providing us with ongoing insight into how we can continue to make our VS&A portfolio even better. You have all shared your excitement and enthusiasm around this phenomenal acquisition and growth strategy with us, and now we are pleased to present you with our plan for pulling all of these assets, people and solutions together.
We are excited to announce that, moving forward, Avigilon and Pelco will lead as our two primary brands for Motorola Solutions’ VS&A portfolio.
Avigilon remains as our comprehensive portfolio of end-to-end video security products and services, that has flexible, modular layers of security, through fixed video, advanced analytics and smart access control systems. The Ava Security and Openpath brands will be rebranded and join the Avigilon portfolio as our combined cloud-based video security and access control offering under a new name that will be announced in March. IndigoVision will transition into the Avigilon portfolio throughout 2023. With the addition of the Ava Security and Openpath product offerings, Avigilon will now be able to provide our customers with enhanced options and scalability for both their on-premise and cloud-based needs.
Over 65 years ago, Pelco pioneered the video security industry. Now, through Motorola Solutions, Pelco is a camera-first brand that provides a VMS-agnostic solution for any site. As announced last year, Videotec’s ruggedized, explosion-protected camera portfolio and Calipsa video analytics joined the Pelco portfolio. Pelco Calipsa is our cutting-edge, AI-powered analytics software that verifies alarms, enables content-based searches, detects tampering and assesses camera health in real-time for enterprise customers. While the Videotec brand name has been sunset, their ruggedized, explosion-protected cameras elevate and extend Pelco’s portfolio to help secure and support extreme conditions and hazardous environments.
We are confident that we are pursuing the strongest path forward by simplifying our portfolio with two primary brands and an enhanced partner program.
